Product Description

An MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) crystallizer with steam is an energy-efficient system where a steam compressor re-compresses the vapor generated from the crystallizer, increasing its pressure and temperature to reuse it as a heat source for evaporation within the same system. The TONRAY MVR system primarily relies on electricity to power the compressor but also integrates and utilize available steam sources for initial heating.

This "MVR with steam" configuration allows for combining the energy savings of MVR with the readily available heat of steam to achieve high efficiency in processes like high-salinity wastewater treatment and salt production.

Key parameters such as residence time, nucleation rate, and supersaturation profile are carefully managed to optimize crystal purity, shape, and particle size distribution.

Crystallizers are essential in industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, food production, and water treatment, where product quality and recovery efficiency are critical.

Crystallizer technology is essential for industrial plants operating under zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) requirements.
